So here we are at the SEC Tournament in Tampa and already it seems
like a bad idea. Not only are ticket sales weak — schools began
discounting tickets last week — but there are few members of the media
in attendance. Charles Bloom, the SEC spokesman, said they’re down 15
percent in credentialed media from last year.
The bottom line is that it’s easy to get to Atlanta from anywhere in
the conference and not so easy to get to Tampa. …

A day later, Billy Donovan said his benching of Nick Calathes was educational more than as disciplinary.
