SEC Rewind: The league is down

The SEC should be thankful it had Florida on Saturday. Four matchups against the ACC, three losses. Only the Gators managed a win, a convincing one at that. I still think Floorida is in the national title game if it beats Alabama, but it couldn’t have helped in the computer rankings to have Georgia lose to Georgia Tech, Vandy lose to Wake Forest and South Carolina lose to Clemson. SEC Rewind: Peek at Atlanta

OK, so we know which two teams will be playing in Atlanta. Why not look ahead? Certainly a lot can happen between now and the SEC Championship Game. Injuries happen, momentum gets drained. SEC Rewind: Fulmer, Tuberville in trouble

When he was the coach at Florida, Steve Spurrier owned Phillip Fulmer. As the coach at South Carolina, he probably drove the final nail in Fulmer’s coffin. I don’t see any way Fulmer is going to survive this, his second losing record in four years. What makes it worse is that Florida, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina have beaten the Vols by a combined 112-35. Tennessee is miserable. The Vols ran for 34 yards against the Gamecocks.
