Offense ” A-
First half: Florida went up and down the field with ease, scoring 28 points and going over the 300-yard mark in offense.
Second half: Scuffled at times but a 98-yard drive helped put the game away as Riley Cooper continued to have a big game.
For the game: Just as we suspected, Florida has plenty of weapons on offense this season.

At halftime, I checked my e-mail and saw I received one from a guy named Kevin Battell, who is serving in Kuwait. He had read my column where I wrote about how Gator fans should not to complain about the heat.

It has been a long time since I tailgated before a Gator game, but today I decided the long wait was over. Minus, of course, any alcoholic beverages.
Rather than get to the press box ridiculously early and sit around telling stories with other hacks, I decided to hang out with my wife and other family members and friends and indulge in a different menu. And it was a beauty.

The length of Phil Trautwein’s absence from the Florida football team is still up in the air. The only thing for sure is that he’s not playing Saturday against Western Kentucky or next week against Troy.
Despite a report on ESPN that Trautwein will miss 6-to-8 weeks, Florida officials on Friday would only confirm that the left offensive tackle and preseason All-SEC selection will miss the first two games.
